A Chartered Accountant of England and Wales, Jérôme joined the CIEL Group in 1993 as Project Financier. He became Head of Finance in 2000 where he effectively leads the Corporate Finance and Treasury team of the Group. Jérôme has been a Director in the financial services division of the Group since 1998.
A Chartered Accountant of England and Wales, Thierry worked in investment banking in London and Mauritius. He later joined Blakeney Management, a London-based investment boutique, focusing on public and private equity in Africa and the Middle East. Thierry returned to Mauritius in 2003 to join the CIEL Group. He is the Chief Investment Officer of CIEL Capital since 2005.
Christine is an Attorney-at-Law and holds an LLB (Hons) from the University of Mauritius and a Licence en droit privé from the Université de Rennes, France. She is the Head of Legal of CIEL Group.
Bob was the co-founder and Managing Director of Halifax since 2005. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, UK. He has 25 years of experience in banking, auditing and management of companies including administration and set up of Funds. He previously held senior positions at Deutsche Bank in Mauritius and International Financial Services Limited. He is also an Associate Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He is a member of the executive committee of the Association of Trust and Management Companies.
Amal Autar is the Executive Director of MITCO since 2007. He is an associate member of the UK Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators. A graduate from the University of Witwatersrand South Africa, Amal has been with MITCO since 1995. He is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (UK) and is the current Chairman of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Mauritius) Limited.
With a career in trust and corporate service work spanning over more than 20 years in the global business sector, Amal has acquired extensive experience in the structuring and administration of global business companies, trusts and funds.
Samila graduated in commerce from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1998. A Member of the ACCA since 2002, she has worked for International Financial Services Limited, one of the largest offshore management companies in Mauritius, for six years, before joining CIEL Investment in 2005.She is currently the Senior Investment Executive of CIEL Capital.
Kate M. Li is a Barrister-at-law, and is a member of the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn (UK) and of the Mauritius Bar. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Asian Studies from Mount Holyoke College, USA, and also attended the Beijing Normal University in China for a summer programme in Mandarin.
Kate is currently the Corporate and Legal Affairs Officer at Alteo Limited, where she advises the listed company on a range of legal matters.
Prior to joining Alteo Limited in August 2015, Kate practised in the area of company and financial services law at Appleby, a global offshore law firm where she has gained more than 7 years’ experience of working on cross-border transactions including general corporate and commercial law matters. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the International Fiscal Association (Mauritius).
